Lucas understands farm and ranch insurance because he’s a farmer.
I started FBN Insurance in 2018 and was in charge when we moved it from FBN to Patriot Growth Insurance Services at the end of 2023. Then, in January 2024, we gave it a new start as Momentum Ag. Before that, I spent 20 years creating and growing early-stage tech and service businesses. I’ve been in leadership at Farmers Business Network since I joined in 2015. Before FBN, I was Vice President of Population Health at Nant Health and part of the team that started Accretive Health in 2004, which is now R1 RCM Inc. Even before that, I worked with Deloitte Consulting LLP and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young right after grad school.
I got my B.S. in Operations Management and Information Systems and my M.S. in Management Information Systems from Northern Illinois University.

I live in Kane County, Illinois, with my wife and our five kids on our family farm. Our farm, the Strom Farm, has been recognized as a Centennial Farm in Illinois, which means it’s been in my family since my great-grandfather first bought and built on it in 1915. Keeping up the family farm tradition is really important to me and everyone at Momentum Ag.
