Sue understands farm and ranch insurance because she’s a farmer.
I was born in Lamar, MO, but now I live in Odessa, MO. My journey into crop insurance started when I was working on origination at a big grain company. There, I helped farmers plan how to sell their crops and introduced them to using crop insurance. Then, I got a chance to work with a team that managed farms and dealt with crop insurance at a company. This experience really showed me how important crop insurance is for managing risks in farming.

I have been in Ag my entire life. I grew up on a diversified livestock and row crop farm. I showed hogs and cattle in 4H and FFA. My entire family and cousins are all deeply rooted in agriculture and I have a deep respect for the industry and love the idea of working with and helping those that help our producers.

I spend a lot of time helping and watching my 3 kids with their activities. They love sports, so we’re often at a ball field or gym on many weeknights. We’re also really involved in 4H and FFA, and my husband is an FFA Advisor. We like horseback riding, showing pigs, and taking care of our animals.
