Laurie understands farming and ranching because she’s a farmer.

I’m originally from Tupelo, MS. My journey into crop insurance began when I was recruited by another crop insurance agent, a professional connection I had known for several years. Agriculture has been a part of my life since birth. Growing up, I was surrounded by horses and cattle, deeply influenced by my father who is a farrier and raises commercial beef cattle, roping cattle, and horses.

Today, my son and I run our own commercial beef cattle operation, and we also raise roping cattle, goats, and Australian Cattle dogs. Beyond my hands-on work in agriculture, I’ve spent 16 years as a high school Agriculture teacher, sharing my passion for the field with the next generation. Additionally, I am a dealer for MIX 30 – The High Energy Liquid Feed and serve as a Community Builder for Farmer’s Business Network. I’m always looking for ways to innovate and support the agricultural community.
