James understands farm and ranch insurance because he’s a farmer.
I was born and raised in Livermore, CA where I currently reside with my wife, Kelsie, and daughter, Blair. I received an Ag Business degree from CSU Chico and wrapped up my education with an MBA from UC Davis. Since graduating I have worked with farmers and ranchers within the insurance industry.

I took my first pig to the county fair at 9 years old and I’ve had my hands in ag ever since. I’ve done everything from irrigating orchards while I worked at the junior college school farm, cleaning farrowing houses while working at a hog farm and finally owning a flock of club lambs where we sell sheep across the county.

My wife and I own and operate a small club lamb operation. We’ve been fortunate to travel much of the country attending livestock shows while meeting and working with some amazing people. I also try to get a round of golf in occasionally, but those seem to be getting fewer and farther between.
