Doug understands farm and ranch insurance because he specializes in it.

 I was raised on a farm close to Greenfield in southwest Iowa. In 1984, my family and I moved to northeast Iowa, near Strawberry Point. There, I started working as a loan officer at a local bank. My journey into crop insurance began in 1989. After a severe drought in 1988, most of our customers had to buy an MPCI policy to get disaster payments, so we started offering that along with the crop hail policies we already had.

I’ve always been part of farming, working directly with crops and animals or helping farmers with loans and insurance. I really like being around animals, taking care of the land, and helping the farmers who do the same.
