Casey understands farm and ranch insurance because she’s a farmer.
I’ve been in agriculture my whole life, as a fourth-generation rancher from northwestern New Mexico. I’m proud to look after the land my grandparents started farming over 100 years ago. My husband and I also had a farm where we grew alfalfa. I love supporting agriculture, our ranch and farm, and helping others get into farming. One big lesson for me was learning the real deal about ranching when I started handling the finances. That’s why I got into selling crop insurance. After resisting the PRF program for a long time, we tried it and it worked out. I believe in tailoring policies to fit each farmer’s needs because one size doesn’t fit all.
Activities/Interests
Besides ranching and farming, I’m busy with cattle and making improvements. I also help support agriculture by serving on local and state boards, was on the USDA advisory committee for new farmers, and am currently part of the American Farm Bureau’s committee on farm policy.
