BETH KILLINGSWORTH
Beth understands farm and ranch insurance because she specializes in it.
I’m from a small farming community called Morton, right on the edge of McCrory. It’s a quiet place, but it’s where my heart is. Eight years ago, I stumbled into crop insurance. It was completely out of the blue, but I decided to take the plunge and switch careers. It sounds simple when I say it like that, doesn’t it?
I’ve been involved in agriculture my whole life. Growing up, I lived on my grandparents’ farm, which was about 300 acres. They farmed rice, soybeans, and wheat on around 6,000 acres. It was there I knew I wanted to stick with agriculture. My grandpa, Peepaw, insisted I get an education before coming back to the farm. So, I went off to Arkansas State and got my degree in Agricultural Business. I chose agriculture because it’s my passion. It’s something I love and enjoy every day.
Activities/Interests
I really enjoy hanging out with my family, especially teaching my niece Emma and nephew Cole “what not to do.” I love traveling, whether it’s something planned or a spontaneous trip. Volunteering is important to me because I can help places that have helped me before, like Arkansas Children’s Hospital. When I can, I also like going to concerts and hunting.
